Conditions of Entry
To help ensure everyone enjoys a safe, friendly and family-focused Kilcoy Show, all visitors are asked to comply with the Conditions of Entry outlined below.
Introduction
The Kilcoy Show is a community event operated by the Kilcoy Pastoral, Agricultural & Industrial Society Inc.
By entering the Showgrounds, all visitors agree to comply with these Conditions of Entry. These conditions are designed to provide a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone attending the Show.

The Kilcoy Show is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for visitors, volunteers, exhibitors, competitors and staff.
Aggressive, abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour towards volunteers, officials, exhibitors, contractors or other patrons will not be tolerated.
Anyone engaging in unacceptable behaviour may be:
refused entry
directed to leave the grounds
reported to Queensland Police where appropriate.
Our volunteers generously donate their time to make the Show possible. Please treat everyone with courtesy and respect.

For the safety of animals, exhibitors and visitors:
Pets are not permitted within the Showgrounds.
Assistance Dogs are welcome in accordance with Queensland legislation.
Assistance Dogs must remain under effective control at all times.
Please do not leave animals unattended in vehicles.

Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated smoking areas.
Smoking or vaping is prohibited:
inside pavilions
near animal areas
around children's attractions
where signed as smoke-free.
Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.

All visitors are expected to:
follow directions from Show officials
supervise children at all times
respect livestock and exhibits
treat other visitors with courtesy
respect private property
report hazards or incidents to Show officials.
Anyone causing damage or creating unsafe situations may be removed from the grounds.

Photography and video recording may occur throughout the Kilcoy Show for promotional, historical and media purposes.
By entering the Showgrounds, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs or video footage used by the Kilcoy Show in print, online and social media.
Exhibits displayed as part of the Kilcoy Show may be photographed or filmed by visitors, media and the Society for reporting and promotional purposes. Competitors should ensure they have the necessary permissions before submitting images that include identifiable people.
If you have concerns regarding photography, please speak with the Show Office.

Livestock are an important part of the Kilcoy Show.
Please:
do not enter animal enclosures
follow steward instructions
supervise children near livestock
avoid startling animals
wash hands after touching animals.
Animals can behave unpredictably, even when well handled.

Visitors using amusement rides must follow all operator instructions and safety requirements.
Ride operators may refuse entry where height, health or safety requirements are not met.
The Kilcoy Show Society is not responsible for the operation of independently operated amusement rides.

As an outdoor agricultural show:
events may change without notice
competitions may be delayed
entertainment schedules may vary
severe weather may affect operations.
Please check the Program or listen for announcements throughout the day.

Admission to the Kilcoy Show is subject to these Conditions of Entry.
The Society reserves the right to:
refuse entry
remove any person whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate
alter programs and activities without notice
close areas where required for safety reasons.
Failure to comply with these Conditions of Entry may result in removal from the Showgrounds without refund.
Prohibited Items
The Kilcoy Show complies with the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies' agreed list of prohibited items.
For everyone’s safety, the following items are prohibited at the Showgrounds.

Drug Related Goods (including Cocaine Kits, Bongs etc.)
Explicit and Hardcore T-Shirts
Fake Cigarettes
Fireworks – Crackers
Fuel type Fire Lighters (Zippo)
Horns and Trumpets
Knives (including Pen Knives)
Laser Pointers
Metal and Wooden Martial Art e.g. Nunchakus
Playing Cards (nude or lurid)
Pressure Pack Snow
Pressure Pack Fart Gas
Silly String
Stink Bombs
Bouncing Beans
Shang-hi/sling shots
Bomb Bags
Fire Wallets
Water Bomb
Explicit DVD's and Videos
Iridescent Hair Spray
Toy Guns are acceptable; however,
the following are not:

Eight Shot Caps
Pellet Guns
Pop Downs (Throw Downs)
Potato Guns
Replica Guns (bullet type)
Roll Caps
Strip Caps
Water Pistols over 150mm (6”)
Gel Blaster Guns
Samurai Swords, English Swords, and Fencing Swords are to be sold in Sealed Packages by Licensed Traders ONLY.
This list complies with Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies agreed list of banned items. (Banned Items List v2 Feb 2021).
