Fat Cattle Pens to

Prime Cattle

Prime Cattle has deep roots in the Kilcoy Show. This 1954 record shows the early community effort behind establishing fat cattle pens at Kilcoy — a practical investment in local agriculture that helped shape the cattle yards and competition we know today.

What began with local cattlemen, Show Society members and supporters working together has continued as a proud agricultural tradition, carried forward by exhibitors, stewards, sponsors and families across generations.

Sponsors & Supporters

The Prime Cattle Section is proudly supported by generous local businesses, families and individual donors. Kilcoy P.A. & I Society sincerely thanks every sponsor and supporter whose contribution helps recognise exhibitors, honour memorial trophy classes, support young judges and continue this valued agricultural tradition.
