President’s Note
Welcome to the 2026 Kilcoy Show
Welcome to the 2026 Kilcoy Show. Our 103rd Annual Show is a great achievement for our growing "little" town. The Committee, Stewards and Volunteers have been working since the 2025 Show to bring to our Community a Show that again will be two full days of Displays, Entertainment and lots of fun for those attending.
School Children
In 2025 on the first day of our Show, 200 excited Primary School children filled the grounds, something that had been missing at the Show for many years.
Celebrating Success
Last year our Show Society hosted the Near North Coast Sub Chamber Finals. We were very excited to have both our entrants receive awards. Millie Retschlag received runner up for NNC Miss Showgirl 2025 and Hannah Retschlag won the NNC Rural Ambassador for 2025. Both these young Ladies are true Ambassadors for our Kilcoy Show. They are also both Stewards in our timber sport sections. Hannah will now go on to represent the Near North Coast Sub Chamber at the Brisbane Royal Show this year, and we all wish her luck.
New for 20206
This year the committee is excited to announce the free trackless train will be at the show on both days, to allow better access around the grounds. This will be such a great asset for our "Golden Oldie" morning and we certainly know there will be some very excited children making use of it as well.
Once again thanks to generous Sponsors we will have Fireworks both nights. The Outback Riders will be performing during the day Saturday and in the main arena Saturday night. The Helicopter Rides will be back again both days this year. Weather permitting our "Christmas in July "Santa lolly drop" will go ahead. Lollies planned for last year's lolly drop were donated by our Show Society for the children at the Kilcoy Christmas Carnival. The Somerset Regions Largest Hobby Horse Races will again be held on Saturday, an event not to be missed as the Jockeys and their horses gallop their way along the race track. The Showmen's Guild of Australia will bring the carnival atmosphere to the Kilcoy Show with their thrilling and exciting rides and games. We value their support.
Australian Championship Event
Exciting news from our Chainsaw Section and a first for the Kilcoy Show. An Australian Championship will be held on Saturday afternoon. Many thanks to our Stewards Graham & Hannah Retschlag for organising this event, don't miss this "Sawdust Show Down" when Australia's elite female athletes will battle it out for an Australian Title Event.
Please take advantage of our Membership offers, these discounts are truly a great way to make visiting the Show truly affordable for families. You will need 2 full days to fit in everything that the committee, stewards, volunteers, sponsors and donors have put in place for our community.
Thank you for your continued support.
